Healthcare Project Architect / New Office Leader:
JOB SUMMARYAs an Office Leader and Director Level position, this is a unique opportunity to lead a new office for Novus Architects while also being a key liaison for one of Novus' major healthcare clients in the Eastern North Carolina Region.
Work for this client will include the opportunity to lead prominent work within their Healthcare campus.
The applicant should be well versed in managing client expectations, leading client meetings, and coordinating design efforts, as well as, development of construction drawings, and supporting construction administration services.
This office/position will sit in the Raleigh or Piedmont area to first serve the needs of the aforementioned healthcare client, while also supporting other healthcare clients in the Eastern North Carolina Region.
DEADLINE FOR ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS IS AUGUST 31, 2023 Minimum 8 years of experience.
Healthcare experience, including work in Acute Care facilities, Ambulatory Care, and specialty care facilities preferred, but not required.
A licensed Architect with a commitment to focus on Healthcare Architecture is also acceptable.
Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited university or equivalent field of study.
Registered Architect or in the process of obtaining architectural licensure.
Experience with Revit required.
BIM 360 knowledge a plus.
Experience with graphics software such as SketchUp, Lumion, or Enscape is an advantage.
Thorough understanding of relevant codes such as IBC, state building codes, FGI Guidelines, NFPA, IBC, ANSI 117.
1, BOMA.
Experience in the technical production of projects from planning and conceptual design through construction administration.
Proven leadership and management skills, including the ability to develop collaborative relationships both internally and externally.
Proven ability to apply critical thinking, influence, and decision making.
Proven ability to work collaboratively across multi-disciplined teams.
Experience managing challenging, fast-paced projects.
Strong writing, speaking, and public speaking/presentation skills.
Ability to professionally collaborate with office leadership and clients.
Responsiblities Have direct communication with key healthcare client decision makers.
Understand and support needs of our healthcare clients and be able to communicate and respond to those needs.
Lead project production in healthcare projects in consultation with the Healthcare Principal and Project Team.
Ensure alignment and understanding of project scope and objectives with the Healthcare Project Team.
Raise awareness of any misalignment or misunderstanding of project scope and objectives with Major Client and Healthcare and Project Team.
Ensure that project scope, requirements and approvals comply with current governance guidelines, best practices, and methodology.
Monitor scope requirements and identify scope-related gaps and issues.
Ensure successful production of project drawings and specifications.
Manage / support project scope and objectives throughout the project lifecycle.
Comply with standard processes to drive effective project execution.
Ensure that project schedules include all tasks and activities necessary to achieve project objectives.
Utilizing your past experience and technical competency, monitor project design, schedule, and budget, and communicate regularly with team members who are responsible for portions of the work.
Lead a team in the development of each project's aesthetic and technical performance goals.
Direct and mentor Junior staff with responsibility for oversight.
Lead design meetings with clients with general oversight from office leadership.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
