RN-Travel Labor and Delivery in Clayton, NC!

We are currently seeking RN's for 13-week travel contracts at a local hospital in Clayton, NC. We are seeking RN's with recent L&D experience and must be current on all credentials. We have both days and nights available and these are 12-hour shifts. The Corrections Registered Nurse will provide inmates with routine and emergency health care in the Medical Section of a Corrections Facility and will conduct health histories on inmates. When necessary, makes referrals of inmates to the staff physician, nurse practitioner, dentist, mental health professional, or specialist in alcohol and drug abuse treatment. Also determines the need for emergency hospital care. Ensures all medication is administered in accordance with standard operating procedures and as ordered by the authorizing authority.
Responsibilities include:
o Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
o Performs focused interview to identify specific patients needs.
o Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition.
o Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.
o Documents the patient's plan of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected patient outcomes, and selected nursing interventions.
o Identifies and prioritizes actions based upon patient care requirements.
o Monitors consistency between patient plan of care and actions of medical staff.
o Performs interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and the hospital policies and patient care outcome standard.
o Provides a safe, comfortable and therapeutic patient environment.
o Initiates and evaluates patient and/or family education.
o Revises the plan of care according to evaluation, changes in medical plan of care, and effective/ineffective nursing interventions.
o Documents patient's response to nursing and other interventions.
o Uses clinical judgment in evaluation activities to meet patient care needs of an assigned unit/floor including establishing priorities.
o Monitors the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment.
o Participates in activities to facilitate good interpersonal communications with the chosen facility.
o Supports professional practice by observing the following: Uses knowledge and practices in accordance with 1) the Nurse Practice Act; 2) Standards of Nursing Practice; 3) Standards of Patient Care; 4)
JCAHO, state and local laws; 5) Patient's Bill of Rights; and 6) Maxim Healthcare, nursing and client hospital policies.
o Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include:
o Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices.
o One year of full-time experience providing hands-on health care.
o Full command, verbal and written, of the English language.
o Current Health Certificate (if applicable).
o Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
o One year prior professional nursing experience preferred.
o Current BLS card.
o Successful completion of screening tests for the clinical specialty area(s) in which the RN practices with a score of 80% or greater.
o Maxim background screening.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
