U.S. LUMBER currently has an opening for an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team in Clayton, NC.

RESPONSIBILITIES &
Essential Functions:
oReceive incoming calls related to sales inquiries for new and established customers; provide simple pricing and availability, as well as information about our products and distribution services
oRespond to customer inquiries promptly by clarifying desired information; researching, locating, and providing desired information; and providing excellent customer service
oResolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint and/or issues; determining the cause of the problem; researching and exploring answers and alternative solutions; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution; escalating unresolved problems
oMaintain detailed records of interactions with the customers in an orderly manner
oOther duties, as assigned and requested by supervisor
REQUIRED COGNITIVE AND PSYCHOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS:
oBe personable, articulate, and knowledgeable
oAbility to learn skills quickly with a mature and service oriented attitude
oExcellent communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills
oMust have strong computer skills
oAttention to detail and the ability to multi-task and prioritize duties
oSelf-starter, pro-active and able to take initiative
oAbility to work as a team member in a fast-paced environment
oMust be able sit for extended periods of time
REQUIRED CREDENTIALS:
oHigh School diploma or equivalent
oMinimum of 1-2 years of customer service experience is required
oPrior wholesale lumber product experience, a bonus
oMust be computer literate, and proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
