Senior System Administrator

Duties: Technical lead and subject matter expert for system administration of IBM AIX, Redhat Linux and Microsoft Windows Servers. Lead projects for migration and upgrade of operating systems (AIX, Linux and Windows) and Oracle database. Coordinate installation and maintenance of IBM/HP/Dell Server Hardware including part replacement, firmware upgrade, deployment and decommissioning. Develop operational procedures for infrastructure changes and daily activities. Develop scripts for daily activities and application jobs using Perl, KSH, BASH. Develop and implement backup and restore operations, including tape vaulting. Handle incident and change tickets related to infrastructure issues. Patch UNIX systems on yearly and quarterly basis. Collaborate with application team for analysis, deployments and troubleshooting issues.
Requirements: Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering or a closely related technical field, plus five years of experience in the job offered.
